Phantom Line

A phantom phone line is a line which continues to function even after it has been disconnected, like phantom limbs which register pain or other sensations. Phantom Line is a telephone sculpture which invites the listener to make a phone call to this other place and reflect on the magical, sacred and profane way in which we experience electronic communication without understanding how it works, while never questioning its veracity.
