Departure Lounge

Interviews with a woman reflecting on dying of cancer and living in the awareness of death while working for a hospice, are interwoven with sounds and recordings from waiting rooms, bus shelters, ferry and airport terminals and doctors’ offices. The piece looks at living with the certainty of death in contrast to our common and everyday experience of denying this reality.
